Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! I can't believe we are down to the last two weeks of school! Crazy how much these kiddos have grown this year!

May 28: No School - Memorial Day
May 29: Last Day of School
STAAR Testing: The campus is closed Monday-Wednesday of this week due to STAAR Testing.
Student Appreciation Week: Next week is student appreciation week. We have a lot of fun activities planned for the students. Below is a schedule for the week - for some of the days, students can bring in items from home.

Electronics Day: Our class has now earned over 7,000 Dojo points this year! We are celebrating with Electronics Day tomorrow (5/4). Some guidelines are listed below:

Good afternoon!
We had such a fun end to the week with our Wolf! Wolf! auditions yesterday and getting to watch the 3rd-5th grade choir students perform Aladdin this morning! I was so impressed with all of our students who had the courage to audition for a role in our class play. They all did such an amazing job and I am really looking forward to working with the entire class to make our play a success.

News from First Grade: April 17

Dear Parents,

Our PBL Showcase on Friday was so much fun! I loved watching the kiddos interact with you all and tell you about their animals. They worked so hard and were so proud to show off all they learned. Our next 1st grade showcase will be our Aesop's Fables Performance on May 10 at 8 am. We will be beginning to learn about these fables over the next few weeks and students will be auditioning for roles in each play. More information to come - you won't want to miss it! :)

Silent Auction:
Our PTA is holding our annual online silent auction. There are a lot of cool items and activities up for bid, including a trip to Jumpoline with Mrs. G and a friend! If you are interested in bidding on anything, please visit the auction website. The auction will close on Thursday at 8 pm.

Dear Parents,

I hope you all managed to stay warm in this strange Texas weather this weekend! I am really looking forward to our PBL Showcase this Friday and can't wait for the kiddos to show off all of their hard work! You don't want to miss it!
Materials for the PBL: Your kiddos might be asking for poster board or other materials for their projects (some don't need anything as they are doing digital projects). We are really trying to get all of the supplies here tomorrow as they will have to be finished with the project by Thursday (so that we can get everything set up for the showcase on Friday). Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the materials. Thank you so much for your support with this fun project!

Spring Pictures: Spring Pictures are tomorrow (4/3). Order forms went home with your students last week. If you would like to order pictures, you must send the order form and payment tomorrow morning.

News from First Grade: March 23

Dear Parents,
We had a great first week back from Spring Break! I can't believe next week begins the fourth nine weeks! We have been working really hard on our PBL to answer our driving question - "How can we, as scientists, help protect animals within their habitats?" We had a presenter from the Capital of Texas Zoo come today and he brought some of his animals with him! Check out our Class Dojo page to see some pictures!

Our class earned a pajama day for hitting their 6,000 Dojo points mark! We will have PJ day on Thursday, March 29. Students may wear their pajamas and may bring a stuffed animal to school.
